Poem by Ross Smirnoff

I used to think it mattered creation over destruction
Hide
Hide
Hide
Once when I was a boy I thought I could fly
Lie
Lie
Lie
Girl we would be groovy together
Dream
Dream
Dream
I would cry but I don't really care
Mind
Mind
Mind
It's time to finally go to sleep
No
No
No
One day we'll meet again
End
End
End

The Stranger Says Yes To Everyone by Ross Smirnoff

My thoughts go round in circles
Always postulating but never making any sense
A tense man on his death bed may he have no remorse
A divorce of conscious thinking
Band of misfits always clamoring
Never hammering out a point
A choice to take the next step
The mission is never to forget
I love despite my training
Don't panic even though you're manic
My words have never been clearer
I need them more than you need fear.

Nation In Peril by Ross Smirnoff

I make scribbles
Ripples of blobs
Globs of paint smeared all over
Reversed and cursed
Blamed and named
I came to the canvas
Despite my inclination to destroy
I forgot a line on the perfected dime of time
I take a cloth and rub out all imperfections
The knob flashes
Forgotten masterpieces
Made all the time
Spreads misinformation
Mixed with rhymes
I cry but I'm not weak
I survive all the damage you caused
I pause and discover a nation in peril
Surviving all the crime
That it commits
I'm in the pit
More moments time wastes
I paste a new code on the wall
Warning of the plague yet to fall
A new code of lore
Hides behind the locked door.
